A global alliance dedicated to encourage teaching and research in responsible leadership and business practices, the Council on Business & society (CoBS) is an alliance that counts 12 member schools with a presence on 6 continents and in 20 countries worldwide.

Together the CoBS member schools count more than 503,000 living and working throughout the world.

With campuses and offices located in Paris, Cergy-Pontoise, London, Madrid, Dublin, Rabat, Stellenbosch, Tokyo, Shanghai, Mumbai, Bangalore, Singapore, Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur, Melbourne, Kingston, Toronto, New York, St. Louis, and São Paulo, one of the alliance’s aims is to bring our alumni together under the CoBS umbrella to:

Take part in interactive events around a sustainability, CSR, ESG, or social impact theme and take away new lifelong learning assets

Meet with leading academics and practitioners

Meet with peers from the member schools and grow their global networks, opportunities, and foster new friendships. ​​

Alumni interacted with a roundtable event on the theme The Next Frontier of Responsible Business Leadership: Insights from Business School Deans.

July 2025: Copenhagen, an informal event hosted by the ESSEC Business School Alumni Chapter, Copenhagen, on the occasion of the CoBS research and teaching presentation at the Academy of Management Conference.​​

June 2025: Paris, hosted by ESSEC Business School La Défense-Paris Campus. ​​
