The Challenge

As a global society we face many challenges: global warming; balancing population growth with resources; meeting growing energy demands safely and efficiently; building institutions that foster equity and inclusiveness; making health care affordable and accessible; ensuring human rights and maintaining stable governments; and fostering the innovation, leadership and entrepreneurship needed to solve global problems.

The Mission

Recognising the enormous role business can and must play in helping solve large-scale, global issues facing the world, leading business schools have formed a partnership – The Council on Business & Society – open to other schools of business and management and corporate knowledge partners. Through individual and collective effort, and the participation of faculty, students, experts and policy-makers, the aim is to strive to create and disseminate knowledge on those issues and educate future business leaders capable of and committed to solving them.

Our Values and Commitment

The current partner schools share a commitment to and belief in the power of academic excellence, collaboration, innovation, and transformative leadership. Each is a recognised leader in management and business education and offers a wide range of business-related degrees and executive programmes. Within our schools we strive to foster openness, intellectual curiosity, responsible leadership, diversity, sustainability, social awareness, entrepreneurship and courage with the ultimate view of business initiating positive returns for society and the wider perspective.
